The damage to their reputation will be huge - and they will never win those people back. They'll buy the new kindle ($100 cheaper, even if it doesn't have wifi), or the new Sony - $50 cheaper and very similar - if not better - features.
Please kobo - pull the product from New Zealand shelves until this is sorted. Those of us who read these forums know what they're doing and now we understand what's going on. What about all the people who have walked in, paid $279(!!!!) and bought what to them at the moment is a lovely paperweight?

This is absolutely dire. I'm in Australia and very happy with my (imported from the US) KT. It was supposed to become available in Australia in September, which has been put off until mid October supposedly, but at this stage Collins still has nothing on its website about KT. I was told when I enquired that they were still negotiating with Kobo on price.
My husband, who was going to get one, has now pre-ordered a Sony Touch, and I think a number of other people will too.
And then there's the wide availability of Kindles in various shops here. It really looks as if Kobo has missed the boat, which is a shame.
