I don't think so even gmail hasn't reach that point yet. I think it was a bad decisions when they decided to make a Personal Cloud. I would be more then happy to pay for a separate email address yearly if necessary.

It means it goes to all Kindles on your personal Amazon account. So say Mom sends a romance book to her Kindle that she got from Smashwords unless she disables her young daughter's Kindle from receiving personal documents then her daughter would get that book as well.
