Sony just said "You can download books". Because they weren't specific, a lot of us skeptical folk didn't want to assume it also included DRM'd books even though it hinted at it.

Well, I see a lot of rumors, but I like to see evidence to back it up. Until this last weekend, nobody had direct evidence. Now that I have one in my hands too, I see that it is Android.

I've taken a peek at the database layout on the T1 and posted some quick findings on that thread. The good news is that it is a simple SQLite DB, and while not compatible with the XML format used before, it is simple enough that it shouldn't take too long to get things up and running once someone can find the time to do the work and look at the DB schema in depth to see what they need to do. My python is rusty, so while I could do it myself, there is still the issue of time and desire. I do too much programming each day as it is!

I rely on the tags to collections as well, so I have a bit of a vested interest in seeing it work, and will try to help where I can.
