Alternative to PB Reader try Aldiko 2.0 which also supports Adobe DRM ( if that's an issue). There's a freeversion which you should be able to download from somewhere even without Market access.
FW 2.0.6 is downloadable from here or any other PB site, and you might consider using it because there are some hacks available who will root the device and give you access to Android Market.
