Speaking from my experience, Smashwords is about 10,000 times easier to get along with than Lulu. I've been using Lulu for paper publishing for 4 years now. While it was originally very easy, it has gotten progressively more difficult as they've changed both their site and their customer service.

I started using Smashwords back before Lulu did ebooks. They are great. Smashwords is easy to use, their customer service is getting better all the time, and you can publish in more formats that Lulu. Most important, Smashwords sells through B&N, iBooks, Kobo, and others.

Try it out with one of your titles and see how you like it. I think you'll move them all over.
