I see lost and stolen as two different things, sure if I found a kindle on the subway I would turn it over to the lost and found. If I lost my kindle somewhere and someone else found it I wouldn't think it was wrong of them to keep it, I am the one who lost it to bad for me. Ever see those people at the beach with metal detectors looking for rings, watches etc ? are they considered thieves ?

In my opinion amazon blacklisting lost kindles is wrong, if someone reports a lost kindle as stolen it is wrong.
