Pocket Edge hibernation test
Three or four weeks ago, when I received my second Pocket Edge from Woot, I updated the new one (PE #2) to VER.1.01 of the Ermine OS. There were some questions about extraneous apps running on Ermine like the telephony apps. I had renamed the telephony apps on PE #1 to *.bak, didn't do it on PE #2 although the 2 apps appear in the files. I decided to do a hibernation life test on both units to see if there was any difference.
It looks like they are as nearly identical as you can get. The battery curves tracked each other almost perfectly. The last entry (with the *) was recorded by powering up the units with the battery charger hooked up . At some point, 8% or below the units both powered down on their own.
This is in no way a scientific survey, as you can see from the wild variations in observation times. But it does seem to indicate that the PE can go ~10 days in hibernation without a problem.
I apologize for the crude appearance of the chart. I probably should have converted the data to a JPG file and attached it.
