Topaz is very good, when used properly. All the advantages of PDF as far as complex layouts go, plus reflow. The problems occur when publishers use Topaz as a quick-and-dirty way of getting an eBook version of a paper book, and it comes out looking like a photocopy done on an ancient copier. But that's the publisher's fault. Topaz can look very good indeed when it's done right.
