All of the forums on which I've participated have encouraged multi-quoting unless not supported by the software they are using.

I personally believe it is proper forum etiquette instead of "spamming" the board with multiple responses. Similarly, I think people should also edit their posts if adding information within a certain amount of time (say 15-20 minutes) instead of adding a new post behind the old. On the other hand, I feel adding a new post is the best option if more than a half hour has passed since the prior post.

Don't worry about it. It really doesn't matter. Single quote or multi-quote as the whim strikes you. We have no "rules" about it. And that's the official word from the moderating team.
