For readers in the UK, The Guardian newspaper will be giving away 8 free children's classic audiobook CDs inside their daily paper starting from Sunday, October 2nd, with one new title each day.
This is to go with
Children's Book Week, which runs from 3-9 October and is apparently supposed to celebrate and encourage reading in young school-aged kids.
The email I got says that the first offering will be
Paddington in the Guardian's Sunday
Observer section, and that
Just William and
The Cat Mummy will be among the 8 titles. It doesn't give a full list, and I'm afraid I can't find anything about it on the
Guardian's website's Book section yet, though no doubt they'll have more info when the promo is officially underway and at the newsstands.
Anyway, I hope that any interested UK members will be able to pick these up if they want them.
