I seriously doubt that is going to happen any time soon.

The reason for the new rules is that the old system generated far too many reports per post, and after acting on one of them, the moderators still have to clean out and no-action (or whatever it's called here) all the other now invalid reports that still clog up the system. they got tired of all the extra work.

Whether the "don't lie" note was too harsh or not is beside the point. The new rules are not going to change. Can we please just accept reality and learn to live with it, and move on now?
