Thanks to seeing this thread... It's time to take the lady-wife and offspring pair to our favorite doughnut shop in the city - Ronald's Donuts.
They do "vegan" doughnuts and such, which I was super-skeptical about...but once I had one of their massive apple critters, all doubt went out the window.
