Free booklet (Sony/Nook/iBook/Kindle) Brand Like A Rock Star-Music Trivia&Business

Brand Like A Rock Star: The Musical Companion by Steve Jones, a brand manager for one of Canada's biggest radio companies, is a companion booklet for his full length business guide Brand Like A Rock Star: Using Rock and Roll to Make Your Business Famous, courtesy of publisher Greenleaf.

This 72-page companion (1.7 megs in size) expands upon the suggested playlist in the marketing book, and adds some detailed trivia regarding each of the suggested listening songs for 21+ well-known bands and individual artists ranging from Led Zeppelin to Britney Spears, along with marketing tips derived from examining their successes, as well as comments on their musical styles.

I've had a skim, and it's a pretty nifty-looking, if somewhat "lite" read.

Anyway, free at Sony (available to Canadians) if you're interested. Not yet free in the other stores if it even exists there, but will possibly pricedrop since it's basically a glorified excerpt piece w/ additional bonus material.

If you have an interest in how the music business is run and are in the UK, you may also be interested in another recent Kindle freebie, Ticket Masters: The Rise of the Concert Industry and How the Public Got Scalped, posted in this MR thread here.

Description (cribbed from the full-length marketing guide this accompanies) copy-pasted the iBooks description I just found, since that one is actually about the companion booklet itself
Take one step further into Brand Like a Rock Star’s marketing wisdom with this soundtrack to your brand’s success

If you’ve had a chance to read Steve Jones’s Brand Like a Rock Star, you’ve seen the striking link between some of the greatest bands in history and creating an unforgettable brand for your business.
