Um, put the 'fear of God' into them? LOL! My son has his own acct - I HAD to put my credit card in because it wasn't letting him download even free samples without one. Maybe a gift card or prepaid card would work, but I just put my credit card in. I know my son would *NEVER* buy something on the sly. Now, let's just say my kids (both of them, the 12-year-old and the 3-year-old) are definitely NOT 'children of the year' when it comes to their discipline level or general behaviour. But to buy stuff on my credit card without asking ... the 12-year-old knows that I'd immediately find out. Maybe it varies with different kids and people just have to know their own child, but I know my niece, too, who shares an acct with me (she is 15), I also trust her fully not to go ordering things, because again, I'll find out
I think a shared child account would be good - if they'll share. I kind of LOL'd at the above who said, "They can just swap kindles" ... Oh, to have easy-going kids who would just swap something like that. No, my son would not swap. He wants his own account with HIS name - he's very adamant about it. The thing is, it is coming in handy now, because we have 2 KSO's and now that they aren't letting people use more than one code per ACCOUNT, now I have another account to order things on. Every once in a while the things my son wants/does that drive me crazy actually become helpful
