We have also used it to discuss "different kinds of families" vis a vis adoption (Roy and Silo can't lay an egg, of course, so the zookeeper gives them someone else's egg).
Yes, I have heard that Roy and Silo both went on to have female mates later on, and I don't think that fact detracts from the story at all. Hey, divorce is also a part of "different kinds of families."
