Plus whatever handling fee the shipper charges for "handling" the VAT - in the UK that could be £8 (Royal Mail), £10 most couriers or £1.25 (or 2%) DHL to a domestic address...

I don't think anyone can complain about the VAT but adding €10-12 in handling fees is gouging (in my opinion).

As to the original poster - any friends or family headed to the UK, the Kindle 3/keyboard is widely sold in shops so could be picked up that way...
