If anyone is looking for a case to tide them over until official cases are released, you should be able to hack a case built for a Sony PRS300 size e-reader. I picked up a $10 case at Walmart today, pulled out a plastic spine on the inside, attached 4 pieces of velcro to the case and back of the kindle, and boom, workable case. So far my sister has accidentally spilled something on the case and my cat's tried to sit on it 3 times, and it's holding up fine.

Thanks for a great tip! I'm currently using a Case Logic semi-rigid, zippered, padded, travel case that was made for the Sony PRS-300. I also have the neoprene slip case that came with my Sony PRS-300 and it fits well.
