I tried Hitchhiker but it didn't work too well for me. First it isn't compatible with VGA devices and requires a VGA-enable hack for proper display. Second it screwed up my WiFi settings: I wasn't able to connect to my standard WiFi hotspot anymore until I did a soft-reset.
