I can honestly say that I've NEVER heard Australian rivers spoken of! Obviously they must have them, but I guess they don't make the northern hemisphere news!
I just did a bit of research and found:
Huge underground Antarctic lakes are connected by fast-flowing underground rivers that stretch for hundreds of kilometres....About 150 subglacial lakes have been discovered in Antarctica but researchers believe there could be thousands.
'Thousands' of lakes?!? I thought Antarctica was the size of a skating rink!
