I think you have a good point. A pearl touch screen with page turn buttons and ePub support. Since Kindle/Mobi->ePub is essentially a lossless conversion (when done right), switching away from reading Mobi files isn't a problem.
If I was buying a new eReader now, it would be high on my list.
