I know it isn't accurate or anything but from that is written it doesn't look very good. It makes it a bad device for travel (if the above is correct), if I don't bring my computer, my kindle is useless (or I have to buy the charger).

And it looks strange that the battery life is calculated with half an hour reading time every day. How often do you read a book for only half an hour? I read it in 1-2 days. I could get it if it were an hour a day or something like that, but why on earth half an hour?

How many books do you think you can read with one charge? How long does it charge via usb?

I plan to buy it but want to find out everything before so as no disappointments.
I think your reasoning might be flawed. The Amazon website lists this for the Kindle Keyboard (formerly called the Kindle 3):

Quote:
A single charge lasts up to two months with wireless off based upon a half-hour of daily reading time.
Based on your simplistic, and I think unrealistic, math, that translates into 30 hours of continuous use with the WiFi turned Off. That is way lower than I've ever gotten with my K3. I routinely read a few hours each day and I always have the WiFi turned On. I always get a couple of weeks of use before having to charge and I always charge well before it gets down to the 30% charge left state.

I get my Kindle non-touch today and will test. But I am willing to bet it will go at least a week with WiFi On and being used a few hours each day.
