No. More often than not the books don't have page numbers, at least the books I've bought. The publisher has to enable this feature per book and they don't do this as often as i would like.
BTW: Reference books are often not that great when converted to eBooks. It sounds like the one you are looking at did not format it for digital otherwise they would have replaced cross-references to pages with hyperlinks.
