Does anybody have any idea what the actual percentages are of people that do the update to ermine (correctly) and actually end up doing something bad to the machine? I personally totally broke my PE after upgrading to the newer version, but that was my fault and eventually I was able to reflash back to dingo and try again. Turns out you shouldn't necessarily delete ALL the system files you don't think the machines uses until you are actually sure it doesn't use them. Oops!
I may just be an old school computer nerd but I don't see any reason not to upgrade. Of course it is personal preference, but why not?! On this device at this time, the only REAL reason to upgrade to ermine at this point is probably if you want to get the google apps and android market working. At this point I think that is still only possible if you have another android device and can backup/restore your apps across devices (which I did and it works so far). If you don't have another android device and/or don't care to have google apps on the PE or EE then I probably wouldn't bother updating either.
My 3 cents (inflation!)
