I understand needing to pay more for the non-ad-subsidized versions, I just don't like the whole apparent "subtle" shift in attitude that Amazon seems to be promoting here. I don't like that you are supposed to start thinking that having ads on a device is the "norm" and that not having ads is somehow exceptional.
