I don't have any movies however, I have a couple dozen or so technical YouTube videos, some e-books, and quite a few PDFs and I have managed to use up about half of 8GB SD card in about 4 months. The nice thing about the eDGe is that your not limited to a single SD card and you can span your content over several different cards if necessary. If you can get a good deal on one a 8GB or better yet a 16GB will give you plenty of storage. Also, try to use the 3GB internal storage as long as possible because you lose it once you move your Library to an external SD card. I use my external SD card to hold items that I can access using ES File Explorer (like the Youtube videos and PDFs) and I save my Internal Storage for items like eBooks, Journals, webpages etc.). It's not data storage that limits the eDGe, it's Apps storage.
