It's not that bad. Not yet.
Main thing is B&N has to avoid trying to answer everything Amazon does; they can't and trying *will* break them.
Their business is books. Amazon's business is everything.
B&N needs to focus on books and on breaking the *other* epub players. B&N doesn't need to be top ebook vendor to survive---they just need to be the top epub reader vendor. Big difference.
