Sigh. I haven't read any King since the end of The Dark Tower.

I had read The Gunslinger when it was serialized in F&SF - so I spent 28 YEARS waiting for the end of that story. The first four books were very good, the last three were s***.

The last one was SO bad I haven't had any desire to read him since.

I could, and did, forgive the occasional clunker (and we know there have been quite a few), but for some reason I haven't been able to forgive him for The Dark Tower.

And, yes, all King books cross themselves with other King books. I used to have great fun picking out the connections. Once upon a time.
