The "jetBooks" are a great alternative to the common "eInk" devices, in the 5" display
pocketable eReader market. The reflective TFT LCD technology is inherently a little
faster than the "eInk" display, and has no "flash to black" on page turns. This at a very
slight cost in battery usage. (About 20 hours of actual reading time per charge.)
The Newegg sale is/was for the regular jetBook which is the same hardware as the
Aluratek Libre Pro, so any accessories are usable for both. You should Google using
both names, to find compatible cases. The thick leather slip-on cover for the jetBook
Lite provides a lot of protection, I expect that the similar one for the regular jetBook
would work as well.
The 5" jetBooks use regular full size SD cards and with the current software they are
SDHC compatible. I assume that you are considering using the .mp3 music/audio book
capability of the regular jetBook a lot? The less expensive 2-4GB SDHC cards can hold
a very large library of ebooks. I have used a 16GB SDHC card, just to test it out, in my
jetBook Lite and had no problems with it, I don't remember trying it with a 32GB card,
which is what is the maximum listed for the device.
Luck;
Ken
