I admire his early work a lot. Possibly the least appreciated, and most maligned books of their time. The man loves to write. He genuinely doesn't care about money at this point; he just can't stop writing. He's stated before that for him, the choice is either write or kill himself. He has that luxury now, but I'm only going to read his non-fiction/literary commentary, because his fiction magic ran out 20 years ago, imo.
I have tons of respect for the guy. He's a writer in the truest sense, but I'll skip his new fiction.
