I was at a writer's chat a couple of years back (I'd had my Kindle 1 for two years at this point) and the question came up if ebooks would ever replace 'real' books. Almost everyone said "No never," "No, I love the feel, look, and/or smell of real books." I said "Yes, within 5 years the majority of fiction sales will be digital. Ebooks just make too much sense." They didn't like that much, but if anything I was conservative.
