I have read Doyle, but it'll be a pleasure to read again and I haven't read all of the Holmes stories. With the BBC's Sherlock reboot (which I enjoy hugely) series 2 coming up, it'd be a good idear, even though they have little bearing one on the other.

ETA: Thanks!
i recently read the collection i recommended from cover to cover (metaphorically speaking) and i was in a turn-of-the-century fog for a week or two after (started reading earl derr biggers, for instance) and just craved stuff from that time period. also, the link that pdurrant pointed out appears to be the same as the one i recommended, but formatted better and i hope proof-read a bit more thoroughly (can't testify to that yet).
