JSWolf's point was that in order to check out and send borrowed library e-books to your Kindle, you need a computer. You confused the issue by bringing up *this* and *that* model have WiFi and/or 3G. You even asked "What am I missing?"

What zoomed over your head is the point that JSWolf (and tubemonkey) were trying to make. You physically need a computer to complete the borrowing of a public library e-book, regardless if your Kindle has WiFi or not. The 2nd and final step of sending the e-book to your Kindle requires a computer.

If this doesn't clear up your confusion, then I don't know what will so I will leave it at that.
