Since the blogger in question copped to being the first and admitted to using the second in order to draw more traffic to his blog (right here on MR), then yes. I consider all reactions to his self-proclaimed "experiment" to be valid and necessary. How can it be wrong to give someone exactly what they're admittedly asking for?

And since those two comments were mine and the blogger thought they were "very astute of me"... then I'm just not sure why anyone would feel he needs defending. He tried to elicit that kind of response from people (admittedly) and he got that kind of response from people. Mission accomplished.
