In the 8 months I've had my K3 (now with over 500 titles on board) I have never accessed the Kindle store on my Kindle - all my browsing/buying has been on my laptop, downloading via 3G.

I've already borrowed several books from the New York Public Library (they have over 15,000 titles for Kindle, with over 9000 available for immediate borrowing). Downloading to my computer and transferring to K3 via USB is no big deal - quite easy.

Is it as fast as a direct-download would be? Of course not, but it's a lot easier/faster/more convenient than the way I've had to get library books for most of my life.
