An update on New Nook News Sept 2011

New - for late 2011 or early 2012
Barnes and Noble should announce something in the next
few days because Amazon has a press conference on
September 28. Earlier reports had at least one new
Nook coming at the end of September, so it would seem
that Amazon was trying to head that off with their Sept
28 press conference.

Barnes and Noble eReader tablets--
$139 (Question if upgraded) 6" Grayscale Nook Smart Touch
$250 New Upgraded 7" Nook Color 2 code name Encore
$349 New 9 to 10" code name Nook Acclaim

The Acclaim appears aimed at the market of
Magazines and Newspaper readers. Some say it might
also be aimed at gamers. A gamer tablet would
require more horsepower under the hood, both CPU
and Graphics.

There are consistent reports that Radio Shack will start carrying Nooks as well as Kindles. Some big box stores have also been mentioned.
