Yes, Amazon's customer service department is one of the best I've interacted with. This is something B&N really needs to work on. I actually bought a nook first, but after a REALLY bad experience with them, I decided to go with a kindle instead(even though I really wanted library access). I'm so glad I went with the kindle because I actually like the design better, and now I have library access...ahhh, all is right with the world.
