As I've said in other threads, there's 3 things that come to mind that can account for parts of the difference on their own. The obvious one is a lack of tax. But the shipping routes are different for Europe and US for goods leaving China, making shipping to Europe more expensive. Tariffs and tax in Europe tend to be higher than in the US, so I'd expect some to come from that as well. With how large VAT can get, that accounts for ~24 Euros if we use the example of Germany again, so the question is, can the shipping and tariffs account for the other 25 Euros when combined?
A charge or a hold? Even in the US they do an authorization when you order, but they let the pending charge fall off. A subtle but important distinction.

Definately charged the full rate of £134.99 I thought maybe they might have taken a quid out to make sure my card worked. It could be possible that they will return the full amount and debit it again later when the reader is actually available.
