As far as I know, the DRM in ANY eBook reader using Adobes standard protection requires the ACSM to be downloaded via the ADE desktop, and this then in turn downloads the actual DRM'ed file.
Only then can you transfer the material to the eBook reader.
Kobo DO support direct WiFi to DRM'ed files; but only those purchased directly from their book store, and even then, not material in ePub format, but only that in there KePub format (which while related to ePub has their own DRM on it).
