I checked Sony.ca, Sony.com, Best Buy Canada, Future Shop Canada and they all say arriving in warehouses 10-02-2011. Shipping, I presume would be shortly thereafter. They're not going to release full quantities available for online pre-orders. More will be available upon release for online and in store purchase.

It would be utterly foolish not to. If memory serves, the same thing happened when they released the X50's last year too.
