I think it's this PRS+ option. When you read in landscape mode each 'normal' page is split into two, top and bottom. Some lines from the bottom of the "top half" are repeated at the top of the "bottom half" - if that makes sense. These overlap lines can be displayed slightly greyed-out. I find it makes it easier not to lose my bearings when reading a PDF in landscape mode.
You can switch it on/off in
PRS+ Settings - Book Viewer - Don't show overlap.
