And to answer the other posters who also said they never heard of him either, the guy has been infamous in the literary scene for years more often for his gimmicks but his style of writing has unfortunately done even more damage to literature than McSweeny's (don't tell me you haven't heard of that either).

I envy the people who never heard of Tao Lin, so don't go Googling him, actually. It's for the best. I just needed to state that if someone said something like, "I never heard of this 'Charlie Sheen' guy, or this show called 'South Park,' so they must not be popular," says that the person making such statements are not exactly in the loop in that particular area of discussion.

Not saying South Park is bad, though - actually pretty funny
