I'm working on the first of what I hope will be a series of books for adolescents. It's about a 14 year old girl inventor and her friends. It's called Astrid Maxxim and her Amazing Hoverbike.

I was musing about how much I was inspired by the writers I read when I was young-- Edgar Rice Burroughs, first and foremost. Then I thought about the years before that, when I was first learning to enjoy reading, and remembered my love for the Tom Swift Jr. Books. I thought I would try to recreate the feeling I had when I read them.

I really get excited about writing when the characters and background just seem to jump out at me, and that is the case here. I expect to be done around November.
