Yes, isn't it? Well, it just goes to show that democracy is not mainly for the people, but also very much for the rich and influential to use as a power tool to get what they want, too. However, I'm really glad that I live in a small country, and not a big one like the USA - where democracy is much more transparent and 'innocent', at this point in time, at least.
