Do you by any chance have Windows Explorer open? NOT Internet Explorer but Windows Explorer where you see all the files on your computer. I find I have that issue sometimes even if I'm just looking at my files that way. I can't open it somewhere else. Even if that just means clicking on the folder that the specific file is in. Close Windows Explorer and then try to import the .doc through the Reader Library.
