When you purchase a book online you are asked which device you would like to use. Each device, including apps, has its own name (which you can change as you see fit). If you are ordering directly through the Kindle, then it will go to that kindle. You can then go online and download it to the other kindle(s) or app(s). You are allowed to have up to 6 devices.apps per Amazon account.
