Calibrefan:
I would recommend using Calibre to do that work for you, no need to delete books and put them back. Just set metadata management to automatic, and enable the tweak 'specify how sony collections are sorted'. I use this to make sure collections (especially series) are
always sorted in the correct order. And since PRS+ follows the collection order, the 'next in collection' booklist is always correct as well

Perhaps you already have, but if you want to, you can make a custom build of the current PRS+ repository following the instructions Mark just mentioned. The current revision has significantly faster loading times if you have a large number of books. In fact:
- If you set the booklist to default, there should be no noticeable slowdown;
- If you set the booklist to anything other than 'last opened books', the slowdown should be a lot less than in the released version;
- Only if you set the booklist to 'last opened books', should it be relatively slow. This is because the entire cache has to be committed before the booklist is updated, otherwise the list isn't updated with books opened in the current session (and I haven't found a way around this). For most people this shouldn't be an issue, but if you have a great number of books, it will take some time to commit cache.
