I used a 2GB drive. Someone else is having trouble updating via USB - but posted that he got it to work with a Micro SD card.

That was going to be my plan B if the USB method didn't work, but it did on the first try.

Also, the Rehorst file is good because I and many others have used it.

I downloaded the third option from the dustyfeet site just now and saved it to my download folder. When I right click on it I get the option to rename.

You're not choosing 'open' at the time of download are you? Also, once it's in the download folder -- or on the desktop (wherever you choose to save it) don't open it. Just rename as is.

I'm on Vista, but I wouldn't think that should make a big difference.
