Busy, busy busy.
Happily so.
- Big girl went to a congress and I hold the fort with little girl. Quite engaging (luckily she was in school from 8.45 to 5.30). But that meant no more free time to fool around when she is at home. Little girl has suddenly developed a rebel attitude. I am the main target of her revolts. Very funny. Challenging also to keep the right mixture of attitudes. Delicate stuff that requires much care and attention. Gone are the easy times. Now she is sitting on the couch with my hand made classical guitar, that I sold a sports car to buy, ages ago. She asked her mother permission.
I keep cool.
- Older daughter will make me twice grandfather in a month. I went to see her and brought her a car load of stuff for my new descendant. She is absolutely beautiful, radiant. A joy to look at. That took an afternoon though, and 3 hours in the car.
- To be of help with Big girl career development and with the kids of my work team, I started a linkedin account and got 109 contacts in few days, plus a number of groups for discussion. Real names. It is very interesting. There is a group where they discuss similar subjects to those of our P&R thread. With real names there is some difference in the tone of the voices

- I finished the experiment stage in the green smoothie affair. Now I just make them. I restructured my two freezers and bought new containers. I also restructured a number of cupboards. I am now working on meals that can be eaten by the whole family, at least a couple of times a week. I made a veg thing in the oven. half way between a loaf and a souffle that encountered the favor of Big girl, and the disgust of little girl, more out of revolt than anything else. I might try real soufflés soon. Gave up the idea of ironing.
Less happily so
- A number of bureaucratic issues to be sorted out at work. That load tends to become more and more unbearable. What I used to be able to solve with few phone calls, and maybe an email, now has required me to be there to sign papers. Papers. In the 21st century. We are doomed.
- the kind lady that keeps us clean and ordered, had to fly to Calabria to give an hand to her old parents that are both ill. More work in the house for yours truly.
