First of all, I want to correct my Kindle Firmware information. I have Kindle 3.1 (558700031) on my Kindle DX Graphite.

I used Yifanlu's technique (Kindle 3.1 software for Kindle 2, 2i, & DX) with my friend Kindle 3 (with 3.1 software) Global Wireless to provide software 3.1 on my DXG.
