The Nook boots first from the SD card if you have one and it is bootable. And you can buy SD cards with CM already installed. You can install the Kindle and B&N apps on that, and when you want a pure Nook experience, just shut down, remove the card, and reboot.
Yes I may one of the pre made cards if I get a nook. Maybe not right away though.

I'm not familiar with Android. Does the Kindle android app sync like the apple one. Do you have to put it in a special folder like you do with the iPhone.
